Farhan Esat made his stand-up comedy debut in 2012, professionally in 2014, and has become a regular performer on the South African comedy circuit. He has performed at prestigious venues such as Parker’s Comedy & Jive, Emperor’s Palace, Pretoria State Theatre, Armchair Theatre, Cape Town Comedy Club, Whackhead’s Comedy Club & the Goliath Comedy Club.

In 2014, Farhan was an opening act for Carl Joshua Ncube’s “Feel Good Zimbabwe” tour, and was a semi-finalist in the Montreux (Swiss) International Comedy Competition. In 2015, Farhan opened for Riaad Moosa’s “Best of Riaad Moosa” shows in Lenasia, and was once again a semi-finalist in the Montreux International Comedy Competition.

He was also nominated by his peers as “Best Newcomer of the Year” at the 2015 South Africa
Comics Choice Awards. In 2016, Farhan performed with Anne Kansiime to 3500 people at a sold-out Harare International Convention Centre (HICC) and featured on some of South Africa’s biggest
ensemble comedy shows including Kings & Queens of Comedy (3000 people at a sold-out
Sandton Convention Centre). He was once again nominated by his peers as “Best Newcomer of the Year” at the 2016 South Africa Comics Choice Awards.

In 2017, Farhan was an opening act for Riaad Moosa’s new “Life Begins” show. He recently
returned from performing at the Clarens Comedy Festival (in partnership with Comedy
Central), and headlined the “Just for Laughs” stage at the inaugural Swaziland International
Comedy Festival.

Also, since 2013, Farhan has served as master of ceremonies (MC), auctioneer & performed
corporate-friendly stand-up comedy at events for a wide range of organisations.
